At the end of the day NTUC needs to compete with sing song and other
retail giants.
Lower wages means lower cost and consumers benefit through cheaper
prices.

The disadvantage is the labour chiefs have lost the moral authority to
ask the
private sector to hire more singaporeans. But make no mistake NTUC
slogan
has always been Cheaper, Better, Faster .
